I consider myself to be a computer geek. I have been working in, on and around computers since 1957. I retired from IBM after 42 years. During my career, I repaired on computers. I programmed them also. I managed the IBM Customer Engineers that maintained computers for customers. I managed programmers for IBM on an FAA contract. I also managed a team of technical writers that wrote manuals for the current FAA Air Traffic Control Center system manuals.
I have built my own computers and installed networking for them. On August 14, 2009, I purchased and installed a 4 port wireless router for my home system. This was a high stress effort because the router fed my wife's computer which was down.
I also have a website with articles and information about computers and peripherals. For more information, visit The Elderly Geek's Computers.
